Reining Strength hosts 2021 Derby Day Fundraiser

Reining Strength Therapeutic Horsemanship recently hosted their 7th Annual Derby Day fundraiser to support their mission to provide therapeutic horsemanship programs for people of all ages - children and adults - who have physical, cognitive, social, or emotional needs.

The hybrid event was produced by Groove Labs and hosted 92 in person sponsors and donors with a zoom link for virtual guests to participate from home.

Don McCoy, President of the Katy Fulshear Chamber of Commerce served as the night’s emcee. Guests noshed on a delicious dinner prepared by Pappas Catering which included the Kentucky Derby infamous Mint Juleps.

Some highlights of the evening included meeting some of the equine staff, a client profile video, the Whiskey & Wine Pull and the Hat and Boots n Bowties contests.

Executive Director Heather Sedillo Hernandez said, “It was a great night celebrating Reining Strength’s mission, our clients, board of directors, staff, volunteers, donors, sponsors and friends.”

The Live and Silent Auctions were jam packed with amazing items and helped the event to raise over $125,000.
