Thieves undetterred by "stay home" order

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information concerning a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle at the Citgo gas station at 10021 SH 6, in the Sugar Land area of Fort Bend County.

At 10:40 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2020, two unknown females entered the convenience store but did not purchase any items. They were later seen getting into a dark-colored Chevrolet Impala and pulled up next to the victim’s white SUV.

Surveillance footage revealed the suspects waited for the victim to finish pumping gas and unlock her vehicle. When the victim entered her vehicle, one of the suspects opened the passenger side door, demanded money and grabbed the victim’s purse.

Both suspects are described as black females with a medium build, between 20-25 years old. The first suspect was last seen wearing light purple sweat pants, a grey shirt and slides. She had her hair up in a bun.

The second suspect was last seen wearing blue stretch pants, a black t-shirt and a blanket. She had her hair up in a bun.

The vehicle of interest is described as a 2010-2012 dark-colored, four-door Chevrolet Impala with a temporary plate.

“We will not tolerate people taking advantage of others especially during this time of need,” said Sheriff Troy Nehls. “Earn some money for yourself the right way by calling Crime Stoppers.”
