Two employees held for theft from UPS facility in Fort Bend

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people in connection with a felony theft investigation within a UPS facility in the Stafford area of Fort Bend County.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, worked in conjunction with the Houston Police Department’s Crime Suppression Team, after being contacted by the UPS Security Division regarding possible employee thefts.

During the course of the investigation, detectives executed a search warrant.

At the time of the arrests on Wednesday September 16, they discovered more than $30,000 worth of electronics and high-end designer goods.

Jarray Hunt, 39, of Stafford, and Christian Nunez, 31, of Sugar Land, were booked into the Fort Bend County Jail. Hunt and Nunez are charged with third degree Felony Theft.

“These individuals had an organized system to steal thousands of dollars worth of products,” said Sheriff Troy Nehls. “We will get to the bottom of this.”

The investigation is on-going.
